Hello from Cumberland, Maryland

We left from Maumee, Ohio this morning and it was raining so hard you could hardly see the road.  It rained for quite a while so I didn't get any pictures from there out for some time.

As we traveled east we went in and out of Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, using a lesser highway so we could perchance see that special find.  As we traveled I was struck by the fact that 90% of the houses I saw were relatively square and 2 to 3 stories high.  There are some absolutely gorgeous ones out there.
This one is on Meridian Rd. outside of Hudson, Ohio.  It is for sale if you are interested.

This is the only house I took a picture of.  And since it took 30 minutes to download this one I will wait until I find better wifi to post more pictures.  No houses but we stopped in Steubenville, Ohio and they have some grand churches that we took pictures of.  There were some nice looking houses there but it is an old town by the looks of it.  Some very old houses and buildings, a lot that could use a little help.  Very interesting.  I am just in awe of some of the houses I have seen today.

The scenery was lush and green, different types of trees, not the pines and evergreens that we see on the west coast.  Lots and lots of farms and rolling hills.  And many farms with their own ponds on the property.  Not seen any animals in quite awhile except for lots of roadkill.

So, until I can get some decent connection I will talk to you later.  Love to you all.
