Still in Delta, Pa.
We had a good rain storm today, it didn't last very long but some real nice thunder claps. Not sure how hot it got. When we left the house to play at 7 tonight it was 86 degrees.
We went upstairs to work on another room to get it cleared away. It was hot up there!! Sweat rolling down our face and other regions. But, we are making progress, slowly but surely. However, I did take a short nap today. Remember hating naps as a child, well the older you get the more you realize you should have had more.
Headed out to Conowingo Dam. The buzzards were out again. Caught site of a couple of eagles and a lot of heron. It is a reach for Blackie, the camera, so the shots are not real sharp. Coming back out and on our way home we saw some deer. They are definitely not sharp.
Beautiful sky tonight
The corn is right on time. Ass high by the 4th of July.
Actually, I think this crop is ahead of itself.
Poor man's eagle
There were a whole lot of birds out tonight. This one below, I watched him fly into the water and catch a fish. Then he went to the bank to have his evening meal. We watched as he would lay it down, pick it up and shake a piece off. A couple of times we thought that maybe he had lost it all together in the water, but no, he had a good eye on it. It was a good sized fish. We turned to something else as he toyed with his food and missed him swallowing it whole. We thought he had lost it for good but then realized he had something in his neck. And he kept getting a drink of water to wash the fish down. Don't you just hate that dry salty fish? We loved it!!
