Today is June 19th

and I am sitting in Delta Pennsylvania.

I arrived today.

I took pictures from the airplane as we traveled across the country with my phone but I am still working on how to get them off the phone and onto my computer.  I did sit and made some notes while I was waiting in Salt Lake City on a layover.  I will share those with you, if you don't mind.

Up at 4:30, airport by 5:15.  Departure @ 6:20 to Salt Lake City and on to Philadelphia.  First leg was only an hour and a few minutes.  Walked about 4 blocks to get to Philly gate.

Clouds most of the way so I watched 1/4 of a movie.  Landed in Salt Lake after a second go around to the run way.  They couldn't clear the runway in time to descend.

I was struck by how bleak the area is here around the lake.  Some of the water appeared purple, I'll have to research that.  Flat, flat with lots of little puddles from the sky, small lakes and streams on the ground, I would guess.  Looks like a lot of Salt Flats, sage brush

 and a few ants, oh no, that would be cows.

1/2 hour delay out of SLC due to weather in Philly.

Heading to Philly, smooth ride.  I had to walk 1 1/2 miles to baggage check-----Poor me.  Marty found me and we headed out.  Stopped @ Chadds Ford to pick up a Harley Davidson poker chip for American Legion Rider gal, April.  Then headed down the road to Kennet Square to eat @ Applebys.

Your lesson for today, Kennet Square is the mushroom capital of the world.

Then off to Delta and home for the night.  Hope to have pics for you tomorrow.
