Today is November 2
We left Pooler at 9:18 this morning. We have put on 8466 miles as of this morning. We went down 95 to Bruswick. Then I do believe we took a little side trip to Sapelo Wildlife Refuge. I tell you, those swampy areas are pretty fascinating for a desert girl.
I have to admit, the animals are stuffed!!😁
Would that be buzzards in the air?
There were quite a few trees down from the winds of the hurricane. We found a path and started walking. And walking and walking. If we had kept going we would have been off by a mile from where we needed to be to get back to the center, sooooooo..................... We had to turn around and go back the way we came.

Back to highway 95 and lunch at Nahunta, Georgia.
Aycock to Jacksonville Highway and we found
OKEFENOKEE SWAMP. HOORAY!!!
Suwannee, how I love ya, how I love ya, my dear old Suwanne.
The alligators you see are all in "captivity" but none the less exciting to be in the same vicinity. This guy was laying on the grass, no barrier and we had to walk by him.😅 But he was a good boy and stayed right where he was. I say boy, but who knows.
OMG, he has a grin on his face. What can he be thinking???
I don't have a clue what this is.
Bet you thought it was going to be all alligators, huh?
I threw in the flowers to help calm your nerves......
We were the only ones interested in a tour so we got a private one from a very nice young man who told us about the animals in the animal house. Then he picked the damn things up in his hands!!!!
Marty loved it, I almost threw up.
He had snakes, turtles, reptiles and other creepy crawlies. Most of the pics were fuzzy so I won't bother to put them up. But it was interesting, to say the least.
We took a little train ride through the swamp and this gentleman was our guide. Nice little ride but the 'skeeters were big enough to pick you up and haul you away.
This is a pond of water covered with green slime.
And they were starting to decorate for Christmas. This was pretty strange looking to me. It would be hard for me to do a southern Christmas. I have to have cold weather and hopefully snow.
Until next time
Love to all

So we left Okefenokee swamp behind us and went our merry way down the Jacksonville Highway.
