Hello from Waycross, Georgia

We pulled in a little early tonight so we could do laundry.  There are just some things you can't get away from.

We left Pooler this morning and took a side trip to a wildlife refuge, Sapelo Wildlife.  We walked down a long, long road amongst the trees and mosquitos,  both in large abundance, and didn't see a thing to talk about.  Got some cool bat earrings though, and the rub there is they were made in Pennsylvania.

Farther on down the road we decided to check of the Okefenokee Swamp Park.  It was cool.  However, it is set up for the tourist, wouldn't you know.  That is probably just as well so some jack a** doesn't come along and try to play with the alligators.  We did see a little guy as we were driving down the road to the park,  he was a completely wild one.  Then a few feet I thought I saw another one but couldn't make it out so I took a picture of a cool plant.  When I loaded it on to the computer, low and behold, I see another one hanging out.

The pictures below are from Sapelo Wildlife Refuge.

The storm Mathew affected this area, also.  Trees were down and debris strung out.  The pics after the yellow flower are a tree broke in half and a tree with shallow roots lying over on the ground.

I will post swamp pictures tomorrow.  We hope to be in Zephyer Hills, Florida for a couple of days.  I will try and keep you up to date.

Love to all, until next time
