Yesterday, Friday the 26th Marty, Michelle and I took another road trip. We headed toward Pendleton, Ore then went over Cabbage Hill and through Meacham, Kamela, La Grand, Alicel, Imbler, Elgin, Tolgate (in the dark), Weston to Walla Walla and on home. It was a good 12 hour day.
We came across these cuties in Pendleton. They were just as curious about us as we were of them.
According to google alpacas have pointy ears and llamas have banana shaped ears. Just checking.
We were looking at alpacas.
Our destination for the moment was the Blue Mountain Wildlife rescue. It is in Pendleton on Appaloosa Lane. A very nice lady, I didn't get her name, gave us a tour. They house animals, right now we just saw all birds, that need to be healed, taken care of and released. Some will not make it back to the wild due to the severity of their injuries. These pictures were taken with a fence of some sort between us and the birds so some are a little cloudy. Sit back and enjoy.
This little guy has an eye injury.
The lady was so knowledgeable, she has been doing this for a long time.
Then we stopped by McKay Creek, although Michelle was hard pressed to see a "creek". It is more like a lake.
This little one still had spots. And poor mama I think has a problem with her ears. They remind me of dog ears, kinda floppy.
I will leave you here in the desert for the moment and regale you with more adventures another day.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed it.
