Good evening again dear friends
It is 6:55 p.m. in Delta, PA. Just got home from dinner with the family. Marty's son John took us all out to La Tolteca for Mexican food. Very nice.
On to our journey!!
One June 24th we started out for Niagara Falls in New York. Going through Penn. was pretty uneventful. I never thought I would get tired of seeing all of the beautiful green trees around here but 2 hours of trees pretty much covers the whole story. It's lovely but pretty boring.
We are on Hwy 322 heading toward State College, yes that is the name of the town. We are crossing hills and dales and then the rain starts.
It rains so hard it is difficult to see the lines in the road.
And then the sun tries to shine through the clouds and leaves rays behind.
We came upon #1 Cycle Center, Harley Davidson on Iron Horse Lane.
One of the girls from the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 34 asked if I would stop in Harley shops and bring home souvenirs. So guess what?
We stopped.
Check out these little cars. Ain't they cute, and only $7000 a piece. I left my purse at home so I didn't get one. Maybe next time we are in the neighborhood.
The statues were pretty cool.
Then down the road we go.
There was a haze on the road so these are a little pale.
Don't know who he was or why he was there but he had a cool looking car, excuse me, pickup.
Check out this "house". I would have loved to go in and have a look around.
We went down the road and had to come back to get pictures. That is a typical yard from what I have seen around here, 100 acres of grass to be mowed every other day.
We pulled into the Hampton Inn in DuBois, PA at 8:55 to stop for the night.
Nice day
Always enjoy our road trips. Here's to many, many more.
