Today is June 27th

We are in Cheektowaga, NY

It has been a busy couple of days.  Day before yesterday we made it to Niagara Falls and took a 4 hour tour.  Unlike Gilligan and Skipper, we made it back.  

We started the day on the Maid of the Mist boat that takes you real close to the falls and over some real turbulent water.

The red coats are the Canadians, our coats were blue.

Then we went to the Cave of the Winds.  I thought we were going into a cave that had a breeze blowing through it, pre conceived notions will get you every time.   They gave everyone a pair of sandals to change into, we got to keep these.  We didn't know why!!  We went up in an elevator, down a long walk that had lots of seagulls hanging around, pewie, and then on to 3 or 4 flights of stairs which got progressively more wet as you went up.  What a grand time, a shower in the falls.

Now I know why we got sandals.

Then we walked over to the big falls, where we stood at the top.

Then we went to 3 sisters.  It is a chain of 3 islands with bridges in between.

Pictures do not do this place justice.  The power of the water is tremendous, and the noise.  It is absolutely awesome.  Ain't Mother Nature grand.
