Today is October 21st

We spent the day driving around the country side with abandon.  It only took us 62 miles today to see what we could see.  The other side of the mountain was all that he could see.  Are you old enough to remember the song, The Bear Went Over The Mountain.  I don't think they teach stuff like that to children now days, how sad is that?

Any way, off we go.  The leaves were turning autumn colors.  It was wonderful.  I love autumn!

We headed off to Conowingo Dam.  There were some beauties there, I can tell you.

This is by the front door of the dam

And the dam itself, with the local residents hangin' out on the fence.  I understand that you can see an abundance of eagles at this dam.  Well, not today anyway.
On down the road for more gorgeous scenery

Except for the occasional broken down building.

Halloween was getting close and we ran across this ghost in someone's yard.  There are probably more at night.  She was just here checking out the terrain.  She might be pointing to a treasure but we didn't stick around to see.
Oh, I think she hitched a ride in our car and plastered herself on the window.

We stopped to check out this cool little stream and off in the distance was a "farm".  It had this really long walk way lined with trees, did I say it was really long?  At the end of the walk was this statue of little children.  A little strange but I would love to know the story behind the walk and the statue.

and of course, miles of grass.

The end of a lovely day

Until next time

Love to all
