We are still on October 13th.
After we left Mount Vernon were went down the road to George Washington's distillery. He owned slaves and he made his own booze, what a president!! I was going to bring home a bottle but I couldn't afford it, ouch.
I showed you this tree last posting. Here is Marty standing in front of it. You can see the size of the tree.
There was lots of lawn all over.
Do you remember the round barn where horses pounded wheat through the floor. This is the condition of the building when they started restoring it.
Here is the grist mill. They are still using it and producing flour for sale.
Here is a movie, short and loud. I am not sure whether it will work or not. We'll see.
And in a separate building is the distillery
Virginia Traffic It took us forever to get home. I thought traffic was bad around here, Ours is tame compared to that stuff we went through. Holy cow, they have to deal with that at least 5 days a week
Don't travel during rush hour work traffic. FYI.
We will spend tomorrow, Oct 14th, at home. So..............
Until next time
Love to all
