Today is September 26th.  We are leaving Beloit, Wisconsin and heading toward Muskegon Michigan.

We went into Beloit to find a Triple A and see if they knew of anything we might need to see.  Apparently they were not familiar with their surroundings, or maybe they haven't lived there very long.  We drove through the "older" part of town, it is a large college town.  I was struck by the beauty of the large 2 and 3 story houses and the landscape.  Of course you don't get to see it 'cause I was too busy looking and not taking pictures.

We skirted around Chicago for what seemed like miles on Hwy 90.

124 miles later we hit Portage, Indiana for lunch and find the chamber of commerce, Triple A, for trip books.
At 3:00 we came to Washington Park Zoo and decided to check it out.
The aviary was the first thing we came upon.

And my favorite

We made it to Muskegon, Michigan and found Lake Michigan.  It was like looking at our Pacific ocean.  The waves were quite hefty and these guys were out para sailing.  I think they were having a ball.  I asked one coming out of the water, "When you disappear out there are you actually under the water or behind a wave?"  "Behind the wave." he said.  Got to be some pretty big waves,

Just a building but we were intrigued by the structure of it.
Until next time

Love to all
