It is still September 24th and we are still at the Prairie Sod houses.

Inside the houses.  Sod walls and dirt floors.
These are renditions of what might have been.

This is a vacuum cleaner, can you believe it?

Then on down the road we go.

Wait, I forgot the underwear on the line, red long johns.

In retrospect, I have no idea why we took pictures of this bridge.  It is in Chamberlain, SD and the Missouri River.

Next stop, Mitchell, SD and the corn palace.
Over 350,000 corn cobs and over 1 million tacks to tack them up.  Each year is a different theme except this year due to a drought.

They were having a car show down the middle road downtown

I think I saw Elvis.
Or his head of hair anyway.  But I won't show you the picture so I don't get sued.😁😁

Inside the corn palace

Back on the road.  And this is what was seen on the way.

South Dakota has acres and acres of sunflowers, some as far as the eye can see.  Some in bloom, some done blooming, some dying.  I was curious so I found someone and asked.  It is grown as an alternative crop.

So on highway 90 outside of Beaver Creek we looked into the rearview mirror and saw this, making us pull off of the freeway and catching the sun as it was going down.

Onward to Worthington, Minnesota

Until next time

Love to all
