As a side note to yesterday, we headed off to see Ranch A, which we never found, or at least not anything we would have expected.  It was the brick arch with Ranch A embedded in stone but you could clearly tell by the picture it didn't look like a ranch to me,   From the highway we turned onto Sand Creek Road.

So, getting back on track, we hit the highway again.  It was a nice detour I have to say.
We crossed into South Dakota @ 1:05 p.m. and decided to see Sturgis, SD.  It was a pretty quiet town.  Not many motorcycles out, must have hit the wrong season!!!

 I was amazed, well, maybe that is not the right word, I guess in wonderment of how many Harley Davidson shops there are in all of the cities and states we visited.  Well done HD, wish I had stock in your company.


Onward and upward.  It is still September 22 and we are heading to Rapid City, SD where we eventually end up for the night.  While we were there we went into Bear Country USA.  Keep your windows rolled up 'cause no one is caged, so to speak.  So, pics are taken through the windows for the most part.

 First bull elk we had seen and he wasn't moving for anyone.

We will still be here tomorrow, there was a lot to take in.  It was kind of hard with the windows up but some pics didn't turn out to bad.  A lot of touristy shots but for memories that's good by me.
