Hello from Worthington, Minnesota

We left Interior, So. Dakota this morning and headed across to Minnesota.  We made
up for some miles that we lost the last 4 days because we kept getting off track.  But it
was a blast.  We came across on Highway 90.  Saw a couple of cool old barns.  I was
struck by the amount of sunflower crops there were.  Acres and acres and acres.  It was
yellow as far as the eye could see.  I was told that these crops were grown as an alternative
crop.  It is used for the sunflower oil.  Sunflowers grown for the oil, the seeds have 40% oil.
Did you also know that every part of the sunflower plant can be eaten as long as it is  grown
with no pesticides

We went through the bad lands.  I was over whelmed, what beauty in rocks.  Amazing.
So tonight I am posting lots of pics of the hills.  It was hard to determine where to point the
camera.

I hope you enjoy looking at these beauties.  In person they are out standing..

A small bit of information.
Badland National Park is located in the White River Badlands and was called mako sica
(mako, land and sica, bad) by the Sioux Indians.  The term badland generally refers to an area that is difficult to travel through primarily because of the lack of water.  The fascinating landscape within
the park erodes at a rate of about 1 inch per ear, providing and ever-changing landscape.

And once again it is past midnight.  Where does the time go.  So off to bed.  Love to you all.
