Last night Michelle Sturges, Marty and I went out to White Bluffs. Make a right turn at the Vernita Bridge and go about 8 more miles and turn right again onto a gravel road. There is a nice boat launch down this road off to the right about 4 miles down. That road is paved, imagine that!! We had just passed that road and off the the right (lots of rights, right?) we saw these two beauties.
That deer in the head light look is a real thing.
Onward and upward to the end. About 4 more miles is the top of the bluffs, and parking area and a place to see forever.
We met a family from Texas the last time we were there and she told us Texas didn't hold a candle to our wide open spaces.
Back down to the boat ramp to watch the stars and swat the bugs.
A beautiful sunset, coyotes howling, frogs croaking and a million crickets in chorus. Ain't it grand.
